I started this book a little worried that I could be disappointed; that the debut was so fabulous that my expectations for this book were too high. I laughed, had fun, got frustrated, wanted to wels some characters, and felt like we got to know all the characters for exactly who they are. Give me a damn story please and quit screwing around!

The end of the 1st book in jwye trilogy left me thinking that this 2nd book would be really good. I could get over this if the story would turn into something interesting and not mindless action.

Heeeeeeeee this is literally why I love urban fantasy. I absolutely love Giguhl, Sabina’s demon familiar. Not Enabled Word Wise: Blue-Blooded Vamp Jaye Wells. It finds Sabina in New York to meet with the mages and Maisie. Didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first book in the series.

Along with the ass kicking that goes on here, you also mmage a glimpse of the more emotional side of Sabina. Sabina wants to defeat her evil grandmother, but she is also facing a few assassination attempts of her own. I went from liking Sabina to loving her.

What other items do customers buy after viewing this item? The storyline moved along quite slowly in this book, for me.

They are a bit boring and I don’t like their teaching methods. Sabina is being hunted and is nearly killed on numerous occasions, but who is behind the attacks? After Sabina is caught pouching in someone else territory, she if forced to pay the blood tax, and being without money she is forced to put Giguhl, her demon familiar and friend, into the fighting ring for the shade. Probabl Didn’t rhe this one as much as the first book in the series.

Maisie, Adam, Sabina, G, and V were all fantastic. Further, she is bullied and manipulated by magd to the extent that I found myself gritting my teeth and wanting to give her a good slapping before I was even a third into the book.

Mage in Black is book 2 in the Sabina Kane series. Silver-Tongued Devil Jaye Wells. The writing in ‘The Mage in Black’ is just as good as the previous book, the imagination is still as vivid and Sabina continues to kick-arse, but the sparkle was missing for me. The second part of this book took an unexpectedly emotional turn, compared to the fun and fast pace of the previous book and even this one’s first half.
